Nominations for the Overbeek Gold Medal for 2014

The medal will be awarded during the ECIS2014 Conference.

The Overbeek Gold Medal is designed as an award that recognizes extended periods of scientific excellence, including excellent careers in, and inspiring contributions to, the field of colloid and interface science.

Nominations for the Solvay Prize for 2014

The prize will be awarded during the ECIS2014 Conference. 
Awardee 2014: 
Prof. Helmut Cölfen

University of Konstanz, Germany

The ECIS-Solvay Prize is annually granted to a European scientist for original scientific work of outstanding quality, described in one or several publications, patents or other documents made public in the five years before the prize is delivered. The work should be in the field of colloid and interface science.

Enzo Ferroni Award for a Young Scientist

The prize will be awarded during the ECIS2014 Conference.  
The new prize of ECIS is awarded to acknowledge the top level scientific activity of young researchers in the field of colloid and interface science. The prize will be awarded for the best oral presentation given during the meeting by a young scientist.
 
The deadline for applying for the prize is 30 April 2014. Applications should be indicated on the conference on-line Abstract Submission Form.

The Technion Prize for a Young Scientist

The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology prize will be awarded during the ECIS2014 Conference. This new prize is awarded to a young scientist for an outstanding oral presentation given during the Conference.

Best Poster Prizes

Following the tradition of previous conferences, ECIS awards several Best Poster prizes to young researchers and PhD students. The prizes are sponsored by Elsevier.
